Scene opens -- PunditMom and PunditGirl are in their usual positions in the PunditMobile on the way to school.
PM is driving. PG is safely strapped into her denim and flowers car seat.
As she is driving, PM is stirred from her early morning brain fog with the following:
PG (happy that PM has not made her wear tights today and was permitted to wear ankle socks and expose her strong little legs to the elements for the first time in months): Mom, it's Spring! It's Spring! I'm so happy it's Spring!
PM: You know what that means? Soon, it will be Spring Break! And you know what that means?
PG (smile on face has now become patented, crestfallen, sure-to-inspire-mommy-guilt look and she says with the tone of a pissed-off teen): CA-emp.

PM: Mommy Camp!
PG (initially stunned, now starts jumping up and down in booster seat, as much as sturdy shoulder harness will allow): YAY! YAY! MOMMY CAMP!! MOMMY CAMP!!
Postscript to paying editors -- this is fair warning that no paying work will get done the last week in March!

Aside from the obligatory dental appoitnments (!), probably the zoo, playdates, some ice skating and lunches out! No, not academically enriching, but good fun for the two of us!
Does anyone else have any good suggestions for Spring Break activities??

I LOVE this idea. Truly. I think I'm going to plan to do the same thing with Mimi next year when she starts school. :-)
